Rules of scientific discussions and presentations
The objective of seminars in general, and scientific discourse in particular, is to learn from one another and to appreciate the discourse as an essential instrument.
Mutual respect and appreciation are crucial to accomplish this; the use of a smartphone while listening to a presentation of a fellow student would not support it. Additionally, appropriate clothing also expresses respect and appreciation. Furthermore, given constraints such as time restrictions should be kept in mind due to reasons of fairness.
In terms of conducting successful discourses it is pivotal to have all participants actively contribute to the discussion. Therewith, multiple different perspectives and opinions are documented. This pluralistic view on the subject area of Information Systems reflects the concept of scientific culture.
Its importance applies especially for the offered seminars and projects you can find the lectures section.
