NeuroIS - Neuroscience in Information Systems

NeuroIS represents the application and integration of neuroscientific methods and knowledge in information systems research.

Subject

The NeuroIS field is not much older than a decade and consequently, it is still in its infancy. The overall idea is to use neuroscientific methods and knowledge to enrich information systems research. This combination can provide deeper insights and more details that validate existing models or allow to further refine them. By focusing on the human brain and his behavior, the major research target so far is the technology acceptance research. However, NeuroIS is not limited to this but can be applied in a variety of research streams within information systems.
